Summary: |
Horse trainer Shawn O’Hara (Barry Fitzgerald) and his niece Margaret (Shirley Temple) come to America to escape the memory of the racing spill that killed Margaret's brother. While working as a trainer, O'Hara discovers the yearling named Seabiscuit - an unlikely racing candidate. O'Hara fights to convince the horse's owner that Seabiscuit can become a top-notch racehorse. A subplot involves Margaret's relationship with jockey Ted Knowles. A highlight of the movie is the actual footage of Seabiscuit's victory over War Admiral in their 1938 match race.
